November 6, 2012

Wesley Lawrence and Nancy Bail were married Oct. 20, 1962, at Linwood Heights Methodist Church in Linwood, Pa., by the Rev. Charles Montgomery. They were blessed with three wonderful children, two sons and a daughter, and now have seven precious grandchildren.

Wes proudly served in the Army and retired in 2001 as president and business manager of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Local No. 1 of Pennsylvania and Delaware. Nancy retired from DuPont Merck in 1994 and began her volunteering career. She works tirelessly for veterans and their families, as well as the Go Red for Women program for women with coronary disease. She is the queen mum of her Red Hat group and a 41-year member of her sorority.

The couple resided in Kennett Square, Pa., for 33 years and after retirement moved to Bay Harbor in Rehoboth Beach. Their children hosted a 50th anniversary celebration Oct. 21 at the Mendenhall Inn in Mendenhall, Pa., for family and friends.
