Charitable foundation to host Caribbean Christmas Dec. 1

November 15, 2012

The Quiet Resorts Charitable Foundation announced that the Eighth Annual Caribbean Christmas will be held from 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Mango's, Garfield Parkway and the boardwalk in downtown Bethany Beach.

This traditionally sold-out fundraising event, the largest fundraiser the QRCF hosts, features tastings from favorite area restaurants, beer, wine and Mangoritas, live music, silent auctions, dancing and lots of holiday cheer.

“Caribbean Christmas is the perfect way to embrace the spirit of giving and support local charities in the most festive of ways. This island casual event offers something for everyone: music and dancing by Electric Velvet, an impressive array of silent auction items, Caribbean cruise raffle, wall of wine and tastings by local restaurants,” said event chair and QRCF board member Ellen Magee.

Proceeds from this year’s Caribbean Christmas will benefit CHEER Inc.’s Meals on Wheels program and the QRCF scholarship and grant programs. To date, the QRCF has donated more than $450,000 to local organizations and scholarship funds.

Tickets are $60 per person and may be purchased at Beach Liquors, Bethany Beach Books, The Cottage Cafe, DiFebo’s, DiFebo’s Bistro at Bear Trap, Just Hooked, Off the Hook, Mango's and Sedona. For will call tickets, go to www.qrcf.org or call 302-537-QRCF (7723). QRCF is a 501c3 organization; purchase may be tax-deductible.
