Suzanne’s Kitchen Pepper Jelly Spiced Candied Pecans
Ingredients:
- 3/4 jar Suzanne’s Purgatory (Medium) Pepper Jelly
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 3 dashes of Tabasco Brand Hot Sauce
- 2 cups pecans (walnuts would work well too)
- 1 egg white, room temperature
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a bowl mix Suzanne’s Purgatory (Medium) Pepper Jelly with salt & Tabasco Brand Hot Sauce.
- Warm in microwave 30 seconds and set aside
- In a separate bowl beat the egg whites until it is frothy but not stiff.
- Add the pecans and stir to coat evenly
- Next add the Pepper Jelly mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture on to a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet.
- It is important to make sure the mixture is spread evenly nice & flat.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes flipping halfway through.
- You will know the pecans are done when they are slightly browned and jelly has firmed up a bit.
