Shirley Harmon Shock, Millsboro native

Shirley Elnora (Harmon) Shock, 80, of Millsboro, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, after a short but devastating illness.
Shirley was born May 15, 1932, in Millsboro.  She was the daughter of the late Lillian Davis and Oscar E. Harmon.
Shirley was well known in her native Millsboro area, but she was also widely known in Charles County, Md., where she lived and worked for 35 years prior to retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gerald (Jerry) Shock; her twin sons: Stanley and Selvin Strauss, and their wives Monica Strauss and Carol Strauss; her sister: Ardith Mosley; her brother: Edward Harmon; her daughter-in-law: Marion Wright; and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and aunts.
A public viewing and visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro.   Funeral services will then start at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at the Indian Mission United Church Cemetery where Shirley was a long time member.
