Vaughn R. Harrigan, Astra Zeneca retiree
Vaughn Robert Harrigan, 72, of Lewes, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.
Mr. Harrigan had retired as a senior technical engineer from Astra Zeneca after 23 years' service. He was an avid hunter of all game, enjoyed target shooting and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He also enjoyed working with jewelers in designing custom jewelry.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Carolyn Twaddell Harrigan; one son, Vaughn R. Harrigan Jr. and his wife Tera of Townsend; two daughters, Kim Rice and husband Jeff of Harbeson, and Shani Harrigan Jorgensen of Middletown; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
