Artist Leslie McDonald welcomes holidays with reception Dec. 2

Local artist Leslie Delmege McDonald will welcome the Christmas and holiday season with a reception featuring her recent watercolors from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, at The Buttery Restaurant, Savannah Road and Second Street in Lewes.
McDonald's paintings reflect her love of coastal Lewes and recall the rural areas of her native Maine, where she paints each summer.
McDonald is active in the community as a volunteer and a member of Friends of the Lewes Public Library, where her painting depicting the Friends' Book Sale graces the cover of the Friends' new cookbook, "Cooking With Lewes Friends." She also contributes to the annual Pink Affair fashion show and luncheon that raises money for local cancer support.
