Ruth Esther Wilkins, law firm retiree

Ruth Esther Wilkins, 93, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. She was born July 21, 1919, attended Georgetown schools, and graduated from the Peirce Business School of Philadelphia, Pa. in 1939. She was employed by the law firm of Maull and Maull in Georgetown for over 40 years. She was a lifelong member of Grace Methodist Church and was especially proud of her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also assisted her sisters in customer services at the Nancy Lee Shops in Georgetown and Bridgeville.

Ruth was the daughter of Frank Wilbur Wilkins and Olivia C. Short. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by a brother, Frank W. Wilkins Jr. of Scituate, Mass., as well as several generations of nieces and nephews. They will all cherish the memory of their Aunt Ruth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 North Bedford St., Georgetown, where friends and family may call one hour prior to services.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Georgetown.
