John C. Williams, Marine Corps veteran

John C. Williams, 83, of Milton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown. He was born in Baltimore, Md., June 4, 1929, son of the late William Edward and Dorothy (Hoffman) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes and the Glen Burnie Gun Club in Millersville, Md. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict and was a member of American Legion Post 28. He loved camping and hunting deer.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Dolores Hartlove Williams; four daughters: Phyllis A. Williams of Bridgeville, Jacqueline L. Bryley of Pasadena, Md., Dolores M. Kemmerer and Toni Ann Gerber, both of Pasadena; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs: Snowball and Dede. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Wayne L. Williams.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
