Band Director Harvey Bullock honored as Sussex Tech Staff Member of the Month

Sussex Technical High School honored Band Director Harvey Bullock of Milton, right, as the Staff Person of the Month for December 2012. In making the announcement, Principal Dr. John Demby, left, commended Bullock for his commitment to build the Raven Nation Marching Band into one of the most respected bands in the nation. Under Bullock’s direction, the band has been invited to appear at the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla.; the 70th anniversary memorial observance of the bombing of Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii; the 100th anniversary of the running of the Indianapolis 500 in Indianapolis, Ind.; and the McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, Ill.

Bullock came to Sussex Tech in 2005 after 12 years of experience as a music instructor with the Delaware Music School. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Elizabeth City State University and his master’s degree from Delaware State University.
