These fries have their own trademark

We learn something new every day. In a recent blog about french fries I mentioned a term that is actually a trademark without realizing it. A company representative telephoned me and asked me to print a retraction.

Boardwalk Fries is the trademark name for a company started by brothers David and Fran DiFerdinando; the first shop was opened in Maryland's White Marsh Mall in 1981. Within six years, the brothers had franchises from coast to coast. You can usually find shops in malls; the Centre at Salisbury has one.

Headquartered in Columbia, Md., the company has added more to its menu through another franchise, Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries with Delaware locations in Dover and Newark.
