Robert N. Mendenhall, 92, of Milford, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford

Robert was born in Pick-A-Way, Ohio, son of the late Shirley Elijia and Vina (Burns) Mendenhall.  He is also preceded in death by a daughter: Roberta Ellen Mae Mendenhall; two sisters, Wilma Fodder and Betty Spadey; and brother Bud Burns.

Robert was a truck driver for several different trucking companies for over 50 years. He was still licensed with his CDL at the time of his death.   He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by a son: Ed Mendenhall, Cortland, Ohio; daughter: Roberta Lea Consla, Espyville, Pa; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother: Jimmy Burns of Georgetown; stepson: Richard “Dick” Schafer and wife Connie of Georgetown; and stepdaughter: Mary Jo Foust, also of Espyville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held t 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 29, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown with visitation after noon.  Burial will be in McColley’s Cemetery.
