Three charged in Georgetown drug raid

Georgetown police arrested two men and a woman following drug raids in September and December.

Police searched a home on Conaway Street Sept. 21 following a three-month investigation into illegal drug sales, said Sgt. Tom Tyndall of the Georgetown Police Department.

During the search, he said police found crack cocaine and arrested James May, 51, of Georgetown and Sherman Jackson Jr., 54, of Lewes. Both were released on bail.

On Dec. 21, Georgetown police executed a search at the same residence and found 12 grams of crack cocaine, 34 bags of heroin and $3,500 cash. Police arrested May and Megan Couchman, 26, of Lewes. Both were charged with possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver heroin, conspiracy and other drug charges. May was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $24,000 cash bond; Couchman was incarcerated on $8,400 secured bond.
