Ronald Lee Perdue, loved fishing

January 8, 2013

Ronald Lee Perdue, 59, of Laurel, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, in his home. He was born April 13, 1953, son of the late Betty and Jim Perdue.

He loved to fish and married his wife Renee Perdue in one of his favorite places in the world, the Florida Keys, “where the fishing just doesn’t get any better.” Anyone who knew Ron would always ask him how’s the fishing? His passion for fishing had no boundaries - anywhere, anytime, for any kind of fish. He was an enthusiastic duck hunter and loved taking rides on his motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, he was blessed with two daughters, Beth Anthony of Wilmington and Kyrie Perdue of Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Amy Parsons of Laurel and Terri Jones of Exton, Pa.; a stepson Mike Rash of Seaford; brother, Frank Perdue of Georgetown; a sister, Connie O’Neal of Laurel; a granddaughter Chloe Guzman; and many wonderful relatives and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, at Calvary Baptist Church, 22860 S. DuPont Hwy., Georgetown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Institute for Cancer Research, 1759 R Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.
