Franklin Delano Barker, auto body retiree

Franklin Delano Barker, 79, of Elmer, N.J., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Underwood Memorial Hospital, Woodbury, N.J.

He was born in Milton, son of the late Howard Barker and Margaret Morris Barker.  Franklin served in the U.S. Army from 1956-61.  He was employed by Depford Auto Body in Depford, N.J., and Vicks Auto Body in Pine Hill, N.J.  He was an avid bowhunter, fisherman and boater.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Barker Smialek of Milton; a daughter, Phylis Reif of Pitman, N.J.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by nephews David Barker and F. Todd Mitchell.

Private memorial services were held at Kelly Funeral Home in Pitman, with interment in Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery.  Frank will be missed.
