Sussex County Habitat for Humanity’s newest project leader and coordinator, Mike Nally of Lead Your Way Solutions, is seeking volunteers to build a home in Georgetown Point for a Sussex County veteran in need.

A meeting to discuss the project will take place at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at the University of Delaware  Elbert N. and Ann V. Carvel Research and Education Center at 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown.

“We are excited to work with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity and serve such a special cause. It’s our honor and privilege to be a part of this project to honor our veterans,” said Nally.

At this general information meeting, key committee selections will be discussed. Additionally, a volunteer event coordinator and a volunteer construction manager are needed to help head up this project. Information will be shared about how prospective veteran homeowners can apply for this Habitat home. Nally urges potential candidates, donors and volunteers to attend and learn more about this upcoming project. “We need a lot of help; I hope people throughout the county will join the team and come out to our first meeting on Jan. 24,” he said.
