Emma F. Hammesfahr, homemaker

Emma F Hammesfahr, 92, of Lewes, formerly of Wallkill, N.Y., a homemaker, and longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, in Delaware.

The daughter of the late Elwood and Anna Garrison Powell, she was born June 1, 1920, in Wallkill. She was a member of the Wallkill Reformed Church. She was the widow of Russell Hammesfahr.

Survivors include her son, Dr. Paul Hammesfahr of Lewes and his wife Sharon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at the Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bonaventura Ave., Wallkill. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge St., Wallkill. The Rev. Toni Macon will officiate. Burial will be in New Hurley Cemetery in Wallkill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge St., Wallkill NY 12589.
