Delaware River and Bay Authority Announces Internship Program - Opportunities Available in Multiple Career Fields
(New Castle, DE) Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority officials announced an internship program to provide university and college students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional work environment during the upcoming summer. The program, which entails a 6-9 week summer commitment, is comprised of on-the-job experience, leadership development, exposure to senior leaders and cross-functional team experiences.
“We’re excited to offer this innovative program again this year,” said Charlotte Crowell, Chief Human Resource Officer for the Delaware River and Bay Authority. “With practical assignments and specific projects, young professionals will be able to further career and personal development. What a terrific opportunity to receive real world experience and gain a greater understanding of prospective career paths while working for such a unique organization.”
Internships are available in the following departments: Executive Administration, Airports, Engineering, Finance, Food Service (Cape May-Lewes Ferry), Human Resources, Police, Public Information / Communications, Social Media/Marketing, and Maintenance (HVAC). Interns will also have the opportunity to network and market themselves for potential future employment inside and outside of the Authority.
Prospective candidates must submit their application/resume to www.drba.net no later than February 18, 2013. Undergraduate students will be paid $10 an hour for a 40-hour work week and graduate program students will be paid $12 an hour for a 40-hour work week.
