Frank 'Moose' Yodice Sr., retired beamer

Mr. Frank “Moose”  “Yogi” Yodice Sr., 88, of Millsboro, formerly of Wayne, N.J., passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013.

Frank was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Paterson, N.J. to the late Thomas and Consiliga Ricciardi Yodice.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Yodice; and sisters Betty Festa and Louise Sarsfield.
He worked as a beamer at Sterling Textile for 40 years.  He also worked as a carpenter for Diemare Construction for 12 years, and a driver for Haledon Auto Parts both in Haledon, N.J.

He was a member of VFW Post 129 Fife Drum and Bugle Corps in Paterson.  He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church in Wayne.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was “one in a million.”

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Adeline M. Naples Yodice of Millsboro; a son, Frank C. Yodice and wife Marrianne of Butler, N.J.; daughter, Marlene VanVliet and husband Michael of Millsboro, and daughter, Bobbi Yodice-Pavlak of Milford; sisters Marie Bino and Dolly Kerr of Wayne; and a brother, Angelo Yodice of Florida; six grandchildren, Tara, Frank V., Nick and Marc Yodice, Charlie Galante and Alexa Pavlak; and six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after 11 a.m.  Burial will be private.  Deacon Dennis Hayden will officiate.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963.
