Paul A. Spragg, 85, of Lewes, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was born in Wilmington, June 1, 1927, son of the late Paul A. Spragg, Sr. and Nellie M. (Walsh) Spragg.
Mr. Spragg was a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduating, he was employed as a sales executive, first with the Speakman Company in Wilmington and retiring from North East Plumbing of Maryland. Mr. Spragg moved from Earleville, Md. to Lewes in June of 2012. He loved sailing and boating, especially on the Chesapeake Bay. He had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan, loved old movies, listening to music and drinking his daily 3 p.m. beer. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Spragg is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Ann Spragg; two daughters: Vicki L. Sadowski and husband Jim of Lewes, and Carolyn Ann Spragg of Port Townsend, Wash.; and two grandchildren: Eric and Rachel Sadowski of Lewes.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 14 Glebe Road, Earleville, Md. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
