GFWC Zwaanendael Club inducts new members

January meeting focuses on current issues in public safety

Two new members joined the GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club at its Jan. 15 meeting. Shown after the induction ceremony are (l-r) new member Ann Marie Rooney, Zwaanendael Club President Jo Anne Koehler and new member Karen Caulk.

At the same meeting, members discussed a project to study gun-control issues and the lack of mental illness services, subjects which have come into the news as a result of the Newtown tragedy and the subsequent study commissioned by President Barack Obama. This brief was prepared by member Dottie Pepe. Also, member Maxine McWhorter Ungerbuehler spoke on the related topic of bullying.
