Alvy Powell recital to be held Feb. 24 at St. George's Chapel

Alvy Powell, who currently sings for presidents in the Military District of Washington, will offer a recital in honor of Black History Month at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 24, at St. George’s Chapel, sponsored by the WaterWorks Music Ministries of the Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church & St. George’s Chapel.
Powell will be performing spirituals, art songs, opera and oratorio selections. St. George’s Chapel is at 20274 Beaver Dam Road, Route 23, Harbeson.
The concert is open to the public, and a free-will offering will be taken.
