Joanne B. Hannagan, St. Edmond member

Joanne B. (Lougheed) Hannagan, 81 of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Mrs. Hannagan was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Wilmington, daughter of the late Charles R. and Ethel (Samluk) Lougheed. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hannagan (1987).

Mrs. Hannagan was a member of St. Edmond Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach. She enjoyed her many friendships and would travel to Fenwick Island every year with the same group of ladies for a relaxing getaway. She was a kind and loving person who will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Hannagan is survived by her brother, Robert F. Lougheed and wife Mary Ann of Wilmington; her nieces and nephews, Robert Lougheed Jr. and wife Donna, Michael Lougheed and wife Sandra, William Lougheed and wife Denise, Kimberly Stayton and husband Ted, Christopher Lougheed and wife Maria; six grandnieces; five grandnephews; two great-grandnephews; a stepson, Michael J. Hannagan of Parrish, Fla.; stepgrandchildren, Brett Bleifer and husband Adam, Leigh Blecki and husband Doug, Alex Hannagan and wife Charlotte; their mother, Mary Hannagan; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave. and Laurel Street, Rehoboth Beach, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Internment will immediately follow at All Saints' Cemetery, Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, a memoriam may be given to the charity of your choice in Mrs. Hannagan’s name.
