Tidewater President Gerard Esposito inducted as honorary commander at Dover Air Force Base

March 1, 2013

Middlesex Water Company announces that Gerard L. Esposito, president of its Delaware subsidiary, Tidewater Utilities Inc., has been inducted as an honorary commander in the 436th Dental Squadron at Dover Air Force Base for the year 2013.

Esposito, along with others invited to the program, was sworn in at an induction ceremony at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base in early February. The honorary commander program invites selected distinguished members of the local business community to spend a year partnered with a specific military leader, exchanging ideas and strengthening community partnerships.

The program includes participation in various base events, orientation on the mission of DAFB and the 436th Dental Squadron, and a mutual sharing of ideas and leadership experiences. Esposito is paired with Lt. Col. Darrell Smith, commander of the 436th Dental Squadron.

“It’s an honor to be invited to participate again in this program,” said Esposito, who first served as an honorary commander in 2010. “I look forward to building upon my prior experience, participating in a different part of the base and exchanging productive ideas.”
