Filing for deadline March 1 for Cape Henlopen school board election

The deadline to file for a district A seat up for election on the Cape Henlopen School District school board is Friday, March 1.

The five-year school board seat is for residents who live in district A, the Milton area.

The seat is currently held by Noble Prettyman who has filed for re-election. Sussex County Department of Elections officials said Prettyman is the only candidate who has filed for the seat.

If another candidate files to make it a contested race, the election would be May 14. Anyone interested must do so by 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 1.
