Sandra Dee Davis, avid reader
Sandra Dee Davis, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at her home after an extended illness.
She was born April 18, 1962, in Seaford, to James E. and Shirley Elliott Powell, who survive her.
Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed writing. She was a loving mother and daughter and will be missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Shannon Davis of Statesville; son, Steven Davis of Davenport, Fla.; two grandchildren, Alexis and Shia Davis; brother, Vernon Powell (Maureen); sisters, Paula Wells of Frankford and Betty Jo Bailey of Millsboro; nieces, Angela Nicole Witschi (David), Macie Powell, Tiffany Wells and Madison Powell; nephews, Eben and Vinnie McCabe and Richard Wells Jr; great-niece, Lanie Powell; and great -nephew, Khyle Wells.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 2, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be held privately.
