Steven Yaeger, U.S. Navy veteran
Steven J. Yaeger, 64, of Milton passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
He was born in Dodge City, Ks., the son of Joyce Thomas Yaeger and the late August Yaeger.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a member of Elks Lodge 2540 in Lewes and the Broadkiln VFW in Milton. He loved being on the water and fishing.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Helen E. Moody; son, Steve Yaeger II; stepdaughter, Laurie Brittian; four grandchildren, Courtney, Amanda, Allie and Jacob; brother, William Yaeger and wife Jan; sister, Connie Gard and husband Don.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, March 10, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
