There was a steady stream of green through downtown Milton March 10 as 189 appropriately dressed runners participated in the inaugural Lucky Leprechaun 5K at Irish Eyes.

Weather conditions were ideal as the course took runners on a scenic tour of historic Milton. The first runner to cruise down Union Street and past Irish Eyes was 53-year-old Greg Cauller, who finished with a winning time of 18:14. Not too far behind was women's winner and second-place overall finisher Katie Tomlinson of Alexandria, Va.

Thirteen-year-old Johnny Ford of Ocean City, Md., and 12-year-old Ross Moshier of Lewes put in solid showings, finishing seventh and ninth in times of 20:25 and 21:36, respectively.

The race started and finished at Irish Eyes, which hosted the sixth annual Milton St. Patrick's Day Parade a few hours later.
