Carlyn Mary Bull, retired manager

Carlyn Mary Bull, 83, of Bridgeville and formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Noreen Hughes. She was a retired department manager for Bendix, working in the aerospace contracting section. She liked the water, crabbing, and cooking big meals for family get togethers, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was an outspoken, strong willed, red head with a very good heart. She was in love with her granddaughters, and followed everything in their lives, had deep compassion for them, and adored every minute of her time with them.

She is survived by her husband, Roland; and a son, Jerome C. Struck Jr. of Winchester, Va. She was preceded by a son, Sam, who passed as a child. She is also survived by her sister Charmagne, and was preceded by siblings Noreen, Nelson, Leonard, and Anna. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren: April Mae Struck and Ashley Nichole Struck. We can’t forget, her dog Blue and bird Sammy, and many extended family members and friends.

She will be interred at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens privately with her family.
