GFWC of Indian River inducts new members

The GFWC Women's Club of Indian River accepted four new members at its monthly meeting in March. Shown (l-r) are Betty Hudson, Barbara Lewandowski, Diane Pfahl and Eileen Betty, who listen as DSFWC Past President Sandy Roberts performs the induction ceremony.

The Women's Club of Indian River meets at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Indian River Yacht Club, River Road, Millsboro. For more information on the Women's Club of Indian River call 302-947-2640.  Members are active in mentoring at the Long Neck Elementary School, participate in the Millsboro Chamber of Commerce, and support Inland Bays projects, Stockley Auxiliary and People's Place. Their latest project supports the arts at Long Neck Elementary.  Members make make no-sew blankets for People's Place.  This year's fundraiser, Save a Deer and Save Your Dear, is the sale of deer whistles for cars.
