Margaret Naomi Warner, Wilmington resident

Margaret Naomi Warner, 97, of Wilmington, died of natural causes Tuesday, March 12, 2013. She was born in 1915 to the late Herbert E. and Margaretta C. (Donahue) Deats and was a lifelong resident of Wilmington. Her devoted husband of 67 years, U. S. Grant Warner, passed away in 2004. In retirement, they both enjoyed spending their summers in Ocean City, N.J. and the winters in Florida.
She is survived by her four children: Kay-Ellen Ayscue of Cary, N.C., Grant H. Warner and his wife Jane of Hockessin, Bruce A. Warner and his wife Mary Ann of Hockessin, and Michael A. Warner and his wife Cathy of Milton; 10 grandchildren: Candy, Holly, Trent, Wendy, Jason, Heather, Lori, Gwynne, Amanda, and Alicia; plus 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters: Josephine Gamble and her husband Robert of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and Dorothy Agster of Wilmington.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 18, at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
