Julia Messick Carlisle, Rehoboth resident
Julia Messick Carlisle, 93, of of Rehoboth Beach, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Stockley, daughter of the late Hattie Amelia Stoeckel Messick and Harvey Stockley Messick.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carlisle was preceded in death her husband Austin B. Carlisle in 1995.
She is survived by her daughter Penelope L. Carlisle of Rehoboth Beach; her niece, Mary Catheine Goldberg and her husband Barnett of Millsboro; her great-nephew Bart Charles Goldberg and his wife Traci of Millsboro; her dear friends Marianne Jarvis and Tom Steele; and her beloved cat, Dickie.
Services and burial were private at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
