Artist Rosemary Connelly to conduct Watercolor Journaling May 7 to June 11

March 29, 2013

Delaware artist Rosemary Connelly has been creating watercolor journals for about the last 10 years. She spent two years living in Italy with her husband Bob, a photographer, where she recorded her observations of the world around her, filling countless journals with her notes and watercolors.

Now living in Milford, with a studio in the historic downtown, she teaches workshops in watercolor journaling that regularly fill up, and her students keep coming back for more. Connelly’s students say her classes have changed their lives, allowing them to slow down, see and appreciate the little things and their own ability to capture them with pen and brush.

For six Tuesdays this spring, starting May 7 and continuing through June 11, Connelly will teach a workshop at Lavender Fields in Milton. Attendees will learn to observe and capture these lush fields of lavender from first buds to full bloom in pen and watercolor, along with their thoughts and feelings.

Connelly's lessons incorporate drawing, painting and writing. Some experience is helpful, but not required.
