Each table will work together throughout the evening to try and solve the Nanticoke mystery. After the live auction, the mystery will be revealed and the table that has solved the mystery will win the Crime Solving Reward (a package valued at over $200 per couple at the table).
This year’s Honorary Chairs for this suspenseful event are Dr. Joaquin and Gemma Cabrera. Both Dr. Cabrera and his wife Gemma have been actively involved with the Nanticoke Health Services Dinner and Auction activities since they moved to Seaford in 1987 after he completed his specialty training in OB-GYN at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. From 1987 to 2011, he had a private practice before joining the Nanticoke Physician Network at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Cabrera and his wife Gemma are very grateful to Nanticoke and the Community for their warm welcome and support over the years and hope that through his OB-GYN practice, that he has been able to make a difference in improving the health care in the community.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Mother and Baby Care Center through a new fetal monitoring system. Dr. Cabrera said that “our current does not integrate with the new Cerner software at Nanticoke. The new system will integrate fetal monitoring, medical and nursing notations into the main electronic records system. This new software will allow the nursing staff in labor and delivery to monitor all patient care episodes with one system.”
