Glenn D. Nathan, 59, of Lewes, passed away peacefully at home Monday, March 25, 2013, following a courageous battle against non-Hodgkin lymphoma; his loving family was by his side. He was born in Acushnet, Mass., Oct. 13, 1953, son of Dr. Ralph and Helen (Polonsky) Nathan of Delray Beach, Fla.
Glenn grew up in Leominster, Mass. and graduated Leominster High School in 1971 and University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1975. He moved to Delaware in 1981, and retired in 2007 from the Social Security Administration after 32 years of service. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan and therefore had the patience of a saint. He also enjoyed Patriot victories and the Celtic dynasty.
In addition to his parents, Glenn is survived by his loving wife of more than 35 years, Terri; his son Jeff Nathan and his wife Jillian of Rehoboth Beach; two grandsons, Myles and Dominic; his brother, Brian Nathan and his wife Donna of Shrewsbury, Mass.; his sister, Ivy Nathan of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and his loving cats Bentley and Irving who will sorely miss him.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 1, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be private at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Lewes.
