Caesar Rodney girls' tennis shuts out Cape

The powerful Caesar Rodney girls' tennis team came to cold, windy, rainy and wet Cape courts March 27 and shut out the Vikings 5-0, winning 60 of the 65 games played.

Caesar Rodney's Sarah Candeloro defeated Brittney Harris 6-0, 6-0 at first singles while the Rider's Sloan Barton downed Cape's Allie Kwan 6-0, 6-0 at second singles. Caesar Rodney's Hannah Morris defeated Cape's Baylie Fannin 6-0, 6-0.

The Vikings' first doubles team of Tyler Bailey and Isabel Corulli dropped two sets to Caesar Rodney's Caroline Bennett and Ashley Pappas 6-1, 6-4 while Cape's second doubles team of TyKia Duffy and Brittney Swider dropped a 6-0, 6-0 match to Jessica Ament and Elena Ramos.
