Rehoboth-Dewey chamber presents donation from summer programs to Town of Dewey Beach

The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce presented the Town of Dewey Beach with a check for $2,091.61. The amount represented the total donations collected during the 2012 Movies and Bonfires on the Beach summer program.

It is the generosity of chamber members and visitors that enables the chamber and Town of Dewey Beach to continue to produce these quality summer events. The chamber and town greatly appreciate the continued support of visitors and businesses alike.

Movies will start at approximately 8:30 p.m., Mondays on the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue in Dewey.

The schedule for this summer is:  June 17, "The Lorax"; June 24, "Hotel Transylvania";  July 1, "Mirror, Mirror";  July 8, "Here Comes the Boom";  July 15, "Arthur Christmas"; July 22, "Wreck-It Ralph";  July 29, "Brave";  Aug. 5, "The Odd Life of Timothy Green"; Aug. 12, "Oz: The Great & Powerful"; Aug. 19, "ParaNorman";  and Aug. 26, "Rise of the Guardians."

Bonfires will be held every Wednesday from 7:30 to 11 p.m. June 19 through Aug. 28.
