Peter Cameron Sheahan, design engineer

Peter Cameron Sheahan, 80, of Millsboro, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, March 26, 2013, with his wife Jayne at his side.
He was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Oakland, Calif., to Elven and Ilah (Beaubien) Sheahan
Peter served in the Air Force 1952-56 as an aircraft engine mechanic serving in Greenland and Texas. He retired from Davis Standard in 1998 after 33 years as a design engineer and moved to Millsboro in 1998.
Peter took pleasure in creative cooking and photography and loved cruising.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jayne (Brunson) Sheahan and cat Smokey; brother Jim Sheahan and his wife Carol of Grants Pass, Ore.; his son Richie and his wife April of Kenilworth, N.J..
He will be missed by his grandchildren whom he enjoyed so much, Kenny Knapp, Sonnie and Christian Sheahan and their mother Tina. Also, Taylor, Camryn and Justin Hemhauser.  He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews: Luke, Cole, Jon, Timmy, Royce/Bubba, Adam, Raven and Sara, who adored their Uncle Pete.
He and Jayne are very grateful for the love and support of Dr. Vann Brunson, who was Peter’s second opinion and advocate. Peter appreciated the care from everyone at the Tunnel Cancer Center and VITAS Hospice Care. A special thanks to family, friends and neighbors for their prayers and support.
Memorial services are pending.
