Slap on the wrist pales in comparison

April 5, 2013

Your cover story regarding Ms. Margaret Smith's abduction is not only appalling, but stomach-churning, and should be enlightening on the lack of attention we have witnessed time after time in the tacit "prosecution" of career criminals, regardless of age or sex, and their carousel record treatment by statewide judiciary officials.

A slap on the wrist pales in comparison with the kind of punishment these kids deserve.  Murphy's Law no longer applies to young thugs today - they certainly know (or should have known) the difference between moral right and wrong and they arrogantly ignore this basic tenet because they know the "system" will excuse their inexcusable behavior/crime.

And for Dr. Zingaro to taint any potential jury with the opinion published that teens "doing very thoughtless acts without thinking of the consequences" because their brains are not fully developed just provides more innocuous ammunition for the judiciary to set these individuals free to wreak havoc on anyone and everyone whenever a "thoughtless" whim hits them.
