Chaz Matthew Navarro, Sussex student
Chaz Matthew Navarro, 18, went to be with the Lord after a severe illness Monday, April 1, 2013.
Chaz went to Sussex Central High School and was a graduate of Leslie High School in Leslie, Mich. He loved football, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his mother Sheila Friend and stepfather Steven Friend Sr.; his father Johnny (Karen) Navarro Jr.; stepsisters Kyra and Kendalyn; stepbrother Steve Friend III and wife Tina Friend; nieces Alexia Friend and Tatum Friend; nephew Quinn Friend; grandparents Mom-mom Sandy Margist and family, Linda and Dave Smith and Diane Navarro; great-grandmother Betty Wolfe; aunts Connie Hill, Mary Yarema, JJ (Emery) Dunn; uncles Wayne Coverdale and Felipe (Linda) Navarro; cousins Cody Hill and Logan Hill, Cody Dunn and Kale Dunn; and many other special aunts, uncles and cousins of the Friend and Navarro family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Doug and Joan Coverdale; and paternal grandfather Johnny Navarro Sr.
Funeral services celebrating Chaz's life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Eagle's Nest Church, 26633 Zion Church Road, Milton, with Pastor Mike Hargreaves. A fellowship reception will dollow the service.
