The Southern Delaware Choral Society, with the generous support of DiFebo’s Restaurant, will hold a fundraising dinner following its Sunday, April 21 concert, at which a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to SDCS.
DiFebo’s is in Bethany Beach, one mile from the ocean and a short distance from the performance venue. The restaurant is chef-owned, by a family steeped in the rich Italian tradition of the culinary arts and operating over 20 years, and has been named one of two iconic restaurants in Bethany by Delaware Tourism Culinary Trail.
The Italian tradition is reflected in the concert theme, as well: Opera’s Greatest Hits. The best-known arias and choruses of Verdi, Puccini and others, staged with guest soloists, narration and visuals, promises to provide an entertaining and “hummable” afternoon.
This program will be presented in two locations: Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 20, and Mariner’s Bethel United Methodist Church in Ocean View at 4 p.m., Sunday, April 21. Tickets may be purchased at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth and Puzzles in Lewes or at www.southerndelawarechoralsociety.org or by calling 302-396-7617.
