April 5, 2013

The Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing at Beebe Medical Center invites anyone who is interested in entering the rewarding and challenging field of nursing to attend the School’s semi-annual Open House on Thursday, April 11, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Ginny Rickards, MEd, RN, Director of Admissions, will be conducting information sessions every 30 minutes (The last session will be at 5 p.m.) to discuss educational opportunities at the School of Nursing for those interested in the two-year, four semester curriculum which begins each August.  The School is located in back of the Hospital.

The School of Nursing education program is known for offering comprehensive nursing education, providing education in basic nursing concepts, advanced technology, and critical care nursing.  The curriculum is known for providing optimal hands-on clinical experience that is more accessible due to the proximity of Beebe Medical Center.

Upon completion, graduates are well prepared for licensure and entry-level nursing practice.  Articulation agreements with Wilmington University and the University of Delaware facilitate the student’s opportunity to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree.  This degree can be obtained in one additional year with Wilmington University or with a completion plan at the University of Delaware.

Pre-requisite college courses and a certified Nursing Assistant Course are required prior to enrollment in the School Nursing program.  For more information and to register for the Open House, call the School of Nursing at 645-3251.
