The Jefferson School in Georgetown is holding a schoolwide yard sale Saturday, April 27. The sale is sponsored by the school's Extreme Green Team. A fourth-grade student, a member of the team, wrote an article to announce the sale:
"The Jefferson School in Georgetown is having a yard sale from 7 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 27, and the rain date is Sunday, April 28. My name is Race and I am a proud student of The Jefferson School. I am in fourth grade, and I have been at The Jefferson School since kindergarten.
"The Jefferson School is a very exciting and caring place for kids to learn. The teachers and staff members also have the joy of teaching and taking care of students. TJS is the only independent, private, nonprofit school in Sussex County!
"At The Jefferson School, I have been a member of The Extreme Green Team for two years, and it is a great experience for everyone in my class, including me. The Extreme Green Team is a third- and fourth-grade team that takes the school's recyclables to our outside bins.
"At our yard sale, craft vendors, school families and friends will have items for sale. All of the proceeds will be applied directly to our greenhouse project. Vendors, please call our school at 302-856-3300 for details."
