Doris Ellingsworth, Georgetown native

Doris Ellingsworth, 79, of Georgetown went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 7, 2013.

She was born in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Franklin and Lucy Revelle. She graduated from Georgetown High School in 1952. Mrs. Ellingsworth was employed by the Indian River School District and worked in the cafeteria at Sussex Central High School until her retirement.

Doris is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Revelle of Milton; and sisters, Mary Moore of Seaford and Virginia Revelle of Georgetown.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Francis Donald Ellingsworth; son, Alan Ellingsworth and his wife Ann Marie of Bear; daughter, Donna Lantagne of Bear; daughter, Debra Wilson and her husband Michael of Georgetown; daughter, Teresa Whitney and her husband Wayne of Milford; son, David Ellingsworth of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Revelle and his wife Nelda of Bowling Green, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 11, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
