Cape girls' tennis gets first win over Milford 4-1

The Cape girls' tennis team moved to 1-2 on the young season with a 4-1 home victory over Milford April 9.

Cape's Britney Harris defeated Jessica Downes 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 at first singles. Milford's second singles Gretchen Vaughn defeated Alexandra Kwan 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5). Vikings' third singles Baylie Fannin downed Milford's Kellie Topolski 6-2, 7-5.

The Vikings' first doubles team of Tyler Bailey and Isabel Carulli defeated Milford's Crystal Rebimbas and Rachel Lurwick 6-2, 6-3 while Cape's second doubles team of Tykia Duffy and Cassidy Kellagher defeated Milford's Vivian Alvarado and Ester Alice 6-1, 6-2.
