Steven P. Jennings, avid outdoorsman

Mr. Steven Patrick Jennings, 52, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013.

A native Delawarean, Mr. Jennings was born in Wilmington Oct. 31, 1960. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and in civilian life was employed as an operator in the plastics manufacturing industry.

An avid outdoorsman throughout his life, Mr. Jennings particularly enjoyed fishing. He was also a fan of Philadelphia sports teams. In his leisure hours, he looked forward to working on his computer and keeping up with his many friends on social media sites.

He is survived by his father, Ted L. Jennings of New Castle; daughter, Angela Jennings of New Castle; siblings, Jerome L. Jennings (Cynthia) of Gurnee, Ill., Constance J. Ballato (Carl) of Rehoboth Beach, and Kevin G. Jennings (Cindi) of Wilmington; and grandchildren Cameron Bennett, Gabriel Reyes and Audrey Reyes. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nedra K. Parcell Jennings in 2012, and brother, David A. Jennings in 1972.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.
