Plant Art class May 16 at East Coast Garden Center

April 22, 2013

Freelance artist Lynn Farina, known in the arts community as L. Patrice, will lead a class in Plant Art from 9 a.m. to noon, Thursday, May 16, at East Coast Garden Center. Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring along a camera or camera phone. The class will  participate in a walk to gather the necessary natural items for their creations.

L. Patrice studied art at the University of Delaware and the University of Tampa. She enjoys working in pen and ink, pencil, acrylic and watercolor to design note cards and prints. Her most recent works incorporate natural objects like seed pods, flowers and leaves which she uses to design a picture. She then photographs her artwork and adds colorful mats or superimposes the pictures onto other nature scenes to make her unique prints.

Her desire is for her work to exude the natural balance and harmony in nature and to give everyone who views her work joy and delight. View her work at www.lpatrice.com.

Cost for this class is $15 per person. For information or to register, call East Coast Garden Center at 302-945-5853. The garden center is nine miles west of Rehoboth, off Route 24 at 30366 Cordrey Road, Millsboro.
