February – Lewes Polar Bear Plunge
What better way to wash away those winter blues than a dunk in the frigid Atlantic Ocean with all of your friends and neighbors? The Lewes Polar Bear Plunge is a "cool" experience raising funds for Special Olympics Delaware. Held the 1st Sunday in February, this chilling event has raised over $5.5 million in the past 20 years.
March/April – Delaware Music Festival
This music festival features bands from across Delaware, and has four stages running concurrently for two nights. Come for the music in outdoor tented stages. Event dates vary between March & April from year to year.
May - Spring Sidewalk Sale
Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts and retailers in Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and Tanger Outlet Centers deeply discount their past season merchandise.
Summer – Monday Night Movie on the Beach
Each Monday night in the summer, head out to the beach at Dagsworthy Street in Dewey for an evening movie. Bring a blanket and popcorn for these family friendly shows.
September – Dewey Beach Sprint Triathlon
Each September, athletes at all levels come out for the annual Dewey Beach Sprint Triathlon. This event includes a ½ mile swim in the Atlantic Ocean, 15 miles of biking, and finishing with a 3.5 mile run. Come out and tri it!
October - Fall Sidewalk Sale
The spring sale was just a trial run compared to the Fall Sidewalk Sale. Better selection & bigger discounts draw residents & visitors from far & wide.
October – Sea Witch Halloween & Fiddler’s Festival
Held at the Rehoboth Beach Band Stand, this festival includes a parade, costume contest and fiddler’s contest. You can enter the annual “Cackle Contest” to see if your witches’ cackle is the best in the land. An art show and magic show are also part of this fun filled event.
