Thanks to all who made inaugural egg hunt a success

April 19, 2013

The Friends of the Lewes Canalfront Park would like to thank all the children and their families who came out on the most beautiful day of 2013 to help us celebrate our inaugural Egg Hunt in the park on Saturday, March 30th.

We had an amazing committee of volunteers who made this day happen: Stacey Pfarr, Jane Casazza and Louise Pfarr organized, shopped and stuffed 6,000 eggs until their fingers were raw. Great job ladies!

We can’t put these events on without the generosity of sponsors.  A big thank you to The Inn at Canal Square, ONI MRI, Delaware Realty realtors Grey and Stacey Pfarr, Washington’s Green Grocer, Meghan Leahy Parent Coach, Rasevich Landscaping, Val & Bob Cloutier and Hugh and Kathleen Leahy.

We also had a great group of teens help “hide” the eggs: Sammy, Sam, Sydney, Deborah, Katherine, Grier, Lily, Lauren and Davis.

Thanks to our amazing board members who helped make this event perfect and who make sure every park event runs smoothly: Ruth Mankin, Bob Hyberg, Georgia Tugend. Mariah Calagione and Peter Issel.

See you in the park for our next event, Pooches in the Park on May 18th! Friend us on facebook to stay in the know!
