Cape soccer beats Seaford 2-0 and Woodbridge 10-0

Striker Shelby Thomas has 10 goals in six games

The Cape girls' soccer team beat Woodbridge 10-0 April 20  after shutting out Seaford 2-0 April 19  for a three-game winning streak to improve its season record to 4-2.

Striker Shelby Thomas, who had both goals against Seaford and another four against Woodbridge, now had 11 goals on the season.

Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Baralto, a tough customer in goal, has posted two straight shutouts.

Also scoring against Woodbridge were Stephanie Mendez with 4 goals and single goals from Mallory McDonald and Amanda Atkinson.

Cape plays an away game at St. Thomas More at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, then travels to Milford for a game at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 25.

The Ravens of Thomas More are winless on the season while Milford is 4-1 having beaten Seaford, Dover, Laurel and Delmar.
