Walt Jones Memorial Project holds wine tasting at Bin 66

Golf event May 16-17 to benefit Habitat for Humanity
May 2, 2013

The wine tasting event held on April 7 was one of two new fundraising events held this year by the Walt Jones Memorial Project to benefit Sussex County Habitat for Humanity.

The wine tasting was hosted by Bin 66 and its staff, and each participant was able to taste six different wines, while enjoying the company of others and benefiting a great cause.

Seen enjoying the evening are (l-r) Jess and Tom Bain of Coffin Builders and Ethan and Tara Rhodes of Builders Supply of Delmarva.

The Walt Jones Memorial Project is preparing for its Eighth Annual Walt Jones Memorial Golf Outing and Auction, which will be held May 16-17. A house in Georgetown Point will be dedicated on May 18 in memory of Walt Jones, who designed both Old Landing and Midway Par 3 golf courses. The Jones family has generously donated the Midway Par 3 course every year for the Golf Outing Fundraiser.

For more information on the Auction Night, 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 16, at Bethany Blues and the Golf Outing on Friday, May 17 at Midway Par 3, go to sussexh4hweekend.com or call 302-855-1153 Ext. 209.
